i have never played a diablo game, but do want...

I already saw this. I can't believe Blizzard is working on Starcraft II AND Diablo III simultaneously. They're working on the two most heavily anticipated sequels of all time (save for maybe Duke Nukem Forever...but even THAT is a maybe...). You'd think they'd have enough pressure on them for just SCII or D3 separately, but no...they work on BOTH at the same f-ing time, Blizzard is insane. Still...Blizzard has never failed yet, so it's tough to lose faith in them.

Also, I never played Diablo I or II, but this third one looks interesting, I may give it a try.

Meh...I was going to post something mocking these "angry gamers," but part of me wants to agree that this shift in style's a little too drastic.

Then again, it'd be pretty hard to keep the "gothic" style while still showing off the new advancements in graphics.

I think by "gothic style" they meant to say, "Piss poor lighting."

I actually agree with them though, which is weird considering I've NEVER played a Diablo game before... The environments other than the DARK dungeon environments (not the initial bridge area in the trailer of D3) all look like ass. They remind me of Unreal Tournament 2004.

By gothic, they mean medieval architecture. Not wrist-slitting like hardcore Diablo fans are doing right about now. The game would look really good if they made it like DOOM 3 where 90% of the game was dark and 10% was lit. That way the game only has to render like 10% of itself at any given time, so the game looks awesome. Also that allows them to make shitty textures where shadows are going to be anyway, covering up the shittiness. Too bad Id couldn't manage to do that with the gameplay...

I seriously hope there isn't just going to be 6 of the same character classes but with different names/designs.

D3 makes me lol.

I've been wondering lately, if they are going to use those gay WoW skill tab icons for casting skills, instead of Diablo IIs "left/right click". I found this game called Warrior Epic that supposedly played similar to Diablo II. It's an okay game, but having to maneuver my mouse to the bottom of the screen to click a skill, then back up to the play area to move around REALLY SUCKED and took away the feeling of speed that the skill system of
Diablo II gave me as a player.

Basically, I hope Diablo III maintains the left-right click skill system and click-to-walk.

If they change those, would you be upset?

they better keep the right-left click system or else this will just be World of Diablo
